The Keynote Lecture "Universal Catalysts for Our World" is held by Prof. Dr. Benjamin List.
Benjamin List is Director of the Department of Homogeneous Catalysis at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim a. d. Ruhr. He co-founded the field of asymmetric organocatalysis – a process that can be used to construct molecules. For the discovery of this third class of catalysts, he was awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Dave MacMillan.

The Center for Advanced Studies at LMU provides a forum for scientific exchange and discussion that bridges the divide between the established disciplines.
